ABÄRA, Ireland’s first ever International Disability Film Festival
The Dóchas Disability and International Development (DID) working group, of which International Service Ireland (ISI) is a member, is proud to present ABÄRA, Ireland’s first ever International Disability Film Festival. Running from Friday 3 - Sunday 5 December 2010, ABÄRA boasts a selection of exceptional films and documentaries aimed at celebrating the progress made by people with disabilities while increasing awareness and understanding of the many challenges still faced by people with disabilities across the globe.
A round table discussion on mainstreaming disability in development cooperation, will also take place as part of the Festival’s busy programme, and is aimed specifically at senior representatives of NGOs operating in Ireland, elected representatives and senior civil servants from the Irish Government.
An ‘Access All Areas’ Festival Pass can be purchased for €2 at Film Base on Curved Street, Temple Bar, D2, from Monday 29 November, between 10am and 4pm. This pass enables festivalgoers low-priced as well as free ticket entry into all films.
