How much do I need to fundraise?

Team members aged 18-25

Placements are means-tested and most volunteers are expected to raise £800 towards their placement.
Lots of support and advice will be available to help you meet your target. No-one will be excluded because of financial reasons.

Team leaders aged 23 and above

Team leaders contribute their expertise and skills for 12 months.
They are not required to contribute financially towards their placement.

What does the placement cover?

There are no 'hidden extras'. All volunteers are provided with:

• training before you go on placement

• training when you arrive in-country

• flights to and from your placement

• food and accommodation

• visas and medical insurance

• vaccines and anti-malarial medication

• full support throughout your placement

• training when you return home to the UK
