Our placements
Our volunteers make a valuable contribution to our longer-term development work.
International Service works with local partner organisations to tackle the root causes of inequality, and build societies where everyone's rights are respected and fulfilled.
Our local partners focus on protecting and promoting the rights of:
- women
- people living with disabilities
- children and young people
- people living with HIV/AIDS
What will my team be doing?
When you arrive in-country you will work with International Service, your team and local partner to design your project.
This means you can contribute
your skills and ideas in helping our partners work towards
their goals.
Your work could be very practical and hands-on, helping local people and getting involved with activities and workshops. Or you might be more 'office-based', contributing to strategic work that reaches hundreds, or even thousands, of people; for example, doing research or designing training.
